Haestic x Pitts Barbershop: A Partnership Built on Craft
Haestic x Pitts Barbershop: A Partnership Built on Craft
As Haestic continued building relationships with barbers, our fourth barbershop collaboration brought us to Simpang Ampat, Pulau Pinang.
This time, it was with Pitts Barbershop, led by its owner and experienced barber, Hafiz Anuar, better known as Pitts.
Pitts Barbershop has its own identity. The shop carries a classic barbershop vibe, and that same attention to traditional barbering can be seen in the way Pitts approaches his craft and the products he uses.
The Beginning at Ejas Haircut Sambut Puasa
Our collaboration with Pitts Barbershop started on 23 March 2024 through an event called Ejas Haircut Sambut Puasa.
It became the starting point for our relationship with one of the top barbershops in the Simpang Ampat area.
But from the beginning, we saw the partnership as more than simply having another barbershop carry Haestic products.
Pitts has years of experience in the barbering industry and is very particular about the products he chooses to work with.
For us, that made the partnership even more valuable.
A Barber Who Pays Attention to the Details
Pitts is not the type of barber who simply uses a product because it is available.
He pays attention to how a product performs, how it feels, how it behaves in different hair types and whether it actually delivers what it promises.
That approach gave us a different perspective when it came to our own products.
We learned a lot from working with Pitts because his feedback is based on actual experience behind the barber chair.
If a product works, he knows why it works.
If something can be improved, he will notice it too.
That kind of feedback is exactly what we need when developing products for barbers and their customers.
From Distributor to Testing Ground
Pitts Barbershop became one of our Haestic partners and a distributor for our products, but that is only one part of the relationship.
For Haestic, Pitts also became a strong testing ground for our products.
Before a product reaches more barbers and customers, having an experienced barber put it through real use gives us valuable insight.
We can learn how the product performs in an actual barbershop, how it works with different hair types and whether it meets the expectations of someone who has been working with hair for years.
This is one of the reasons we value our barber partnerships.
A distributor helps us bring products to customers.
A barber partner can help us make those products better.
The First Pitts Appearance in Sembang Kemas
Our relationship with Pitts also continued beyond the barbershop.
Pitts became the first Haestic barbershop partner to appear in Sembang Kemas, our content series where we talk about barbering, grooming, products and the people behind the industry.
Having Pitts on Sembang Kemas gave us the opportunity to hear directly from an experienced barber and share his perspective with a wider audience.
It was another example of how our relationship with our barber partners can go beyond products and distribution.
Why Pitts Matters to Haestic
For us, Pitts Barbershop represents what a strong barber partnership can look like.
We have a distributor, but we also have an experienced barber who is willing to test, question and give honest feedback about our products.
That relationship helps us understand what barbers actually need and what makes a product worth using behind the chair.
Pitts has taught us that the details matter.
The hold matters.
The texture matters.
The application matters.
And most importantly, the result matters.
What’s Next?
From the first collaboration at Ejas Haircut Sambut Puasa in March 2024, our relationship with Pitts has continued to grow.
What started as another barbershop collaboration became something more valuable for Haestic.
It became a relationship built around trust, feedback and the constant process of making better products.
As Haestic continues developing new products, having experienced barbers like Pitts around us gives us the confidence to keep improving.
Because at the end of the day, we do not just want barbers to sell our products.
We want them to use them, challenge them and help us make them better.
Haestic, Forever a Budiman.
